First Impression
Kangertech is a Chinese-based company located in Shenzhen in the Guangdong Province. The company was founded in 2007 by Danny Zhu and Li Di Lin, but it wasn’t until 2013 that they really ventured onto the international stage. By the time 2013 rolled around, Kangertech had employed 3000 workers and released the Protank, their first product that became a global success.
The Protank received international acclaim because it was affordable, stylish, durable, and user-friendly. In short, the Protank could perform better than its high-priced competitors, but with its replaceable coils and an easy-fill system, it appealed to a wider audience. The series of editions that followed made Kangertech into the king of tanks, and their ingenuity, originality, and flexibility enabled them to stay relevant and popular in an increasingly competitive field.
So with that introduction, here we go. We hope that throughout this Kangertech Review, you’ll get a better sense of what the company has to offer and whether their products might be for you.
Kangertech Review Vapour Production
The vapour production for Kanger products will vary widely. For the most part you’ll find that the beginner devices can reach wattages of around 60-75W, which should be more than enough for most vapers. However, plenty of Kanger mods can reach wattages of 100W or higher. When vaping, just make sure that you’re careful to use the right batteries and follow Ohm’s law.
Kanger Vaping Accessories
Kanger sells a number of extra glass tubes, O-rings, and wall chargers for your vaporizers. You can also find some extra e-cigarette batteries and all the clearomizers and atomizers packs you need. You won’t really find any gimmicky travelling cases or other tchotchkes, but you’ll definitely find all of your replacement parts.
Kangertech E-Liquid
Kangertech does not offer e-liquids at this time. Their specialty is tanks, and they cater toward entry-level and intermediate vapers with simple, user-friendly devices. However, since they started making headway with the Toptank and the Subtank, Kanger has branched out into other areas. Today, you’ll find that they have a number of high-end, impressive mods, one of which we review below.
Battery Performance and Charging
The majority of Kanger mods make use of 18650 batteries. The power and capacity of the battery will, of course, vary. Packaging & Design
You can recognize Kangertech products by the K engraved into the back of the design showing the battery beneath it. In fact, most of Kanger’s starter kits include stickers to cover your batteries so the colour of the battery won’t show through the slots.
Kanger uses simple, somewhat angular designs and basic blocked colours. You can expect most devices to come in red, black, and white, and the packaging reflects the colour scheme. While perhaps not sophisticated or sleek, the black and red design and the rectangular mods make for an overall classic and certainly recognizable look.
Kangertech Warranty
Kangertech offers a manufacturer’s warranty of six months on all batteries, mods, and USB cables and for two months on clearomizers and starter kits. However, the warranty is limited to manufacturing defects only and does not cover you in case of accident.
If you purchased the device from the Kangertech website directly, you’ll have to verify the authenticity of the product via their website by either using the scratch code or QR code enclosed in the box sent to you originally. If you do have an authentic Kanger product, then you can contact their customer service team at [email protected] with the order number and a description of the issue.
You as the customer is responsible for covering all shipping costs, and Kanger will send the device back to you in your next order. If you purchased the product from other vendors, you should deal with these companies directly as they usually have their own customer service teams. However, should the secondary vendor be unable to help you, you can contact Kangertech directly.

Customer Service
Kangertech is a Chinese company, and so you can’t expect the same kind of service you would from an American company not only because of the time difference but also because of the language barrier. That being said, if you have any issues, you can post questions on their forum. The admin of the site is very responsive and regularly answers inquiries within 24 hours.
On the other hand, remember that if you purchased the product from a distributor, you can deal directly with them rather than contacting Kangertech. Oftentimes, it’s far easier to contact the distributor because then they’ll deal with Kangertech themselves if there are any issues.
